If there is one cure for the sub-par, one magical formula of the achieved, it is Persistence. Persistence will get you everything you want and more, if you only apply it.
When asked how many failed attempts he made when trying to create the incandescent bulb, Edison said “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Clearly, Edison understood the power of Persistence. In Napoleon Hill’s infamous book, Think and Grow Rich (which has sold over 70 million copies), the word Persistence appears no less than 99 times. Hill studied the greats: Charles Schwab, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Andrew Carnegie, etc. to find their common traits – what made them able to achieve great success. Persistence was one of the key traits shared by all of them.
